How to record an expense

Step by step

1. 1In Expenses, click “Add expense”.Every expense belongs to one property, so you see what each one costs on its own.
2. 2Pick a category, enter the amount and a note.Categories (cleaning, maintenance, utilities, supplies, taxes & fees, platform commission) add up in the “Spending by category” chart on the Dashboard. The amount can be in denars or euros.
3. 3A bill you pay every month? Choose “Every month”.Enter it once — the next copies are added by themselves when their date comes. Add an end date if you like.
4. 4Save — the expense is in the list.The total at the top updates right away. The row’s menu lets you edit or delete it.
5. 5Net profit on the Dashboard recalculates by itself.Net profit = revenue minus expenses, for the selected year. You also see it per property, under “Revenue by property”.
